Sunday Stripes and Florals: In a bold Striped Skirt and Wedges

Being the responsible adult that I am, I recently decided that it was time for a thorough spring clean of my closet (ok. fine. closets). I have been meaning to confront the contents of my closets for a while but truth be told I was a bit scared of the enormity of the task before me.

I have performed the task at hand for over 48 hours now and this is what I have discovered.  Yes, of course, it goes without saying that I own too many clothes but let us not lament the obvious. As I keep telling myself, I am in my forties and multiple decades of good taste has consequences. So I have decided to concentrate on trying to be more efficient in the way I store my clothes as well as my accessibility to the various items in my closet. In the spirit of finding new solutions, I went onto Amazon to see what novel storage items I could find. The top item that I have found so far is a multiple handbag holder (purse rack) that can be hung on the back of a door. The children have no idea what I have planned for their bedroom doors next week!

The good news is that I found many clothing items that I have not worn in a very long time.  I discovered this white top and denim jacket that worked perfectly with this bold striped skirt that I recently purchased.  I have never owned a high-waisted skirt like this before but I loved the idea of it and decided it was time for a fashion first this summer.  I have accessorized it with a floral clutch as I love the way florals and strips look together – it is a tried and tested styling formula that always works for me.
