This is one of my most viewed outfits on Pinterest - I guess everyone enjoys a red and white combination. I designed this Kurta a few years ago from fabric I bought in Mumbai. I wanted a ‘kali wala Kurta’ like my mother would wear when I was a young girl - took a while to explain to the Masterji what I wanted but we got there in the end. Here it is - my second attempt at making a lookbook video. For this video, I have collaborated with @kumkum.london. Their lovely clothes are the perfect partner in helping me make the point that the festive season is a great time for us to make our Indian outfits work harder and enjoy more ‘east meets west’ dressing. Today I saw @SobhitaD (of Made in Heaven fame) wearing a lovely a velvet blouse and saree on @hhcguiltfree (blog) and it reminded me of how much I love wearing velvet blouses in the winter. I think the plush fabric exudes a sophistication and warmth that is particularly well suited to cold weather. Here’s a close up of my new winter boots- these are the @dune_london boots that I wore for my weekend trip to Lisbon. Comfy, stylish and warm! This was the first time that I went away in the shoes I was wearing - no backup at all.
