Hello everyone! It is going to be a short write-up today. Pinks and blues are such lovely hues – especially on sale! I am lookbooking my latest outfit purchased for less than £24 in the sales (£11 for the sweater and £12.99 for the skirt). I love the floral pattern on this skirt and I have a new found appreciation for ‘pleather’ skirts as they hang so beautifully. Chunky sweaters are a great winter staple! I think this oversized jumper with a cable pattern (in the hottest colour of the upcoming season – pink) adds a certain ‘cool casualness’ to the outfit. I have paired the clothes with my blue boots, a navy bag and a purple coat – bringing all the blues and pinks together for a great winter look. I really like the way the look came together and I hope you enjoy it too!
Have a great Thursday and as always, thank you so much for visiting my blog.

A movie night with girlfriends has to be one of my surefire ways of having a great evening! One such evening, my friends M and F and I decided to go out for chaat followed by a movie in Mumbai. There was only one new movie out in the theaters called Aashiqui 2. It had just released and given the lack of choice we decided to go watch it despite having had no word of mouth feedback or reviews. So off we went to a restaurant and gorged on chaat, bhel puri and other delicious fare. When the meal was finished, the bill was placed in front of me and my friends handed me some cash for their part of the bill. As we continued to talk a mile a minute, my usual forgetfulness reared its ugly face and as I put my hand into my handbag – instead of taking out my share of the money, I put the money I was holding into my handbag. A few minutes later we got up and exited the restaurant, on our way to the movie. Suddenly, the waiter from the restaurant came flying out behind us and said, ‘Madam you need to pay your bill!”
Suffice to say, I realized what I had done and I was so mortified that I kept apologizing to the waiter while my friends had a good laugh at my expense. Bill paid, we made our way to the movie and sat down with a big box of popcorn because the five-minute walk from one venue to the next had obviously renewed our appetites!
The movie started and between our full bellies, great music, the easy on the eye leading man and our constant chatter, we had a thoroughly fabulous time. At one point in the movie, during the self-styled rehabilitation of the hero by the heroine (for alcohol addiction), there is a scene where she is washing his hair. My friend who was looking dreamily at the screen said, ‘I want to do that’. My other friend looked at her with a straight face and said quizzically, ‘You want to wash his hair’? This might not sound very funny now but at that moment it was hysterical and we all collapsed in our seats in peels of laughter. It was a memorable evening and one I always remember fondly where I hear the music of Aashiqui 2.
My aforementioned friend M, always called this skirt ‘My Aashiqui 2 skirt’ as for some reason it reminded her of the clothes that the heroine wore in the movie. I have always enjoyed wearing this boho skirt with a simple t-shirt and thong sandals. I have added a statement necklace for further ‘boho effect’ and I think the black leather jacket works really well in adding a ‘tougher’ vibe to the overall look.
I hope you enjoy this look and thank you for reading my blog.

It is hard to miss a new trend these days and it is almost impossible to miss that bomber jackets are all the rage at the moment. I can’t say all new trends deserve to be adopted but the ‘bomber jacket’ trend is one that appeals to me wholeheartedly. It is such an easy piece of clothing to wear and lends itself so effortlessly to all kinds of looks. I love wearing them with sneakers for an ‘in-trend’ casual look and with a pencil dress and heels for an ‘in-trend’ evening look. Here, I have paired my bomber jacket with capri pants and a peplum top for an ‘in-trend’ holiday look.
I am on vacation and eating my favorite foods is an official pass time! Most days I wake up and start to plan a list of what ‘gastronomical delights’ I will indulge in today (unfortunately, as we all know all gastronomical indulgences should not be indulged in on the same day). My dominant sweet tooth, as always, reigns over my taste buds and sweet things are on the top of my list. I thoroughly enjoy eating frozen yogurt and I am a huge fan of ‘Yogurt Land’. All those lovely flavours and toppings – what’s there not to love. If anyone from ‘Yogurt Land’ happens to read this blog – great job and love your stuff! As I was eating some yogurt when I took these pictures, I thought I would include them in my post.
Thanks you so much for visiting and reading my blog.

These are two other bomber jackets on the market that I currently have my eye on…
I met one of my oldest and dearest friends, M, during freshman year at university. I had signed up for a 7:00 AM chemistry lab and on the first day of class, I was in the elevator going up. When it arrived at my floor and the door opened, a girl was standing there waiting to get in. Before I could exit, she asked me if I was there for the chemistry lab – I said yes and she informed me it had been cancelled. Being the diligent student that I was at the start of every term (diligence that would swiftly disappear as the term progressed), I said I would like to check for myself. She responded, ‘I will come with you to check”! So off we trotted to the lab room and sure enough there was a sign up stating that the lab had been cancelled for the day. “When is your next class?”, she asked. “Not for three hours!”, I said. “Want to go get some breakfast?”, she offered. Having weighed my options of things to do at 7:00 in the morning on campus, I said yes. We have been inseparable ever since and breakfast is always our favorite meal together!
The point of this story is that M knows me very well and often observes things about me that I am not aware of, as good friends do. One fine day she pointed out that if a piece of clothing has flowers on it – I would buy it! I was a bit surprised and said I had never noticed that I was particularly drawn to florals. She laughed and informed me that I had very ‘girly’ taste and was always buying flowery stuff. I didn’t really buy into her analysis and promptly informed her that I had very diverse clothing tastes. Years later, one day my sister-in-law came home with a lovely dress for me. She handed it to me and said, “When I saw this floral flowy dress I knew I had to get it – it was so you! Seems like M had been proven right and I had to accept- I have always been very drawn to florals.
Coming to this outfit, I am loving the ‘cold shoulder’ trend that it all the rage these days. The print on this blouse reminded me of an old oil painting as well as the English countryside in the summer. Given my new resolve to wear more skirts, I have paired it with a simple black wrap skirt.
Thank you so much for reading and have a great Thursday!
