It’s that time again – the new harvest crop of summer clothes has arrived in the supermarkets. I have professed my love for supermarket fashion in previous posts and it seems to go from strength to strength each time I pop in to do a shop. Nothing says spring/summer more than boho-inspired clothing on the rails and when I spotted this pretty top at Sainsbury’s, I knew that I had that last bit of space in my trolley for it (OK fine, I admit I visit the clothes section before the food section).
On a different note, I have always enjoyed combining styles that may not be paired together from a conventional fashion point of view. With this outfit, I think my feminine, pretty top works exceedingly well with my solid, manly black brogues in a ‘fusion fabulous’ sort of way. I love the frill detail on this denim jacket – it adds a transformational twist to a box standard denim garment that elevates its overall appearance. Last but not least, some chunky silver jewellery is always a great addition to boho inspired styling.
I hope you enjoy this lookbook and thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Hello lovely readers! It has become considerable colder in London during the course of this week and I have decided that the central heating in my house must remain functioning at all times. My house is like a sauna, my family is wandering around minimally clothed and maximally annoyed but I am in a state of bliss!
Once cold weather arrives, sweater dresses are my favorite alternatives to jeans/trousers. They are My Siteseasy to wear, keep me warm and there are a multitude of options to choose from. I picked up this solid mustard yellow dress at Sainsbury’s a few weeks ago and I love the pop of colour and sunshine vibes it brings to everyday winter dressing. I have paired it with black boots and a black leather jacket for a great day look. The jacket is a hybrid leather jacket with a puffer style back and I love the versatility that the unusual style offers.
I went to Sainsbury’s yesterday and they are having a 25% off all Tu clothing (ends 5th December) at the moment. I cannot find this dress on their website anymore but I did see it in store at 50% off the original price making it a great purchase for a tenner!
I hope you enjoy the styling and have a lovely day. As always, thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Happy Sunday – I hope that the weekend is treating everyone well! This is my last post on our family vacation to Cabo this summer. As I indicated in my last two posts – it was a great vacation and we could not have hoped for a better time. The food, the people and the surroundings – Mexico truly captured our hearts!
I am a fan of maxi dresses in most instances and I really believe that they, along with flat sandals, should be a staple in everyone’s summer vacation wardrobe. I love this easy breezy maxi dress with bright flowers embroidered on it because it reminds me of nightwear and therefore lots of happy sleep. I have included some pictures of my mix and match swimwear as I have found this method to be most successful in alleviating the pain of trying to find a coordinated swim suit where both the top and bottom are the same size and cater to only perfectly proportional people! Last but not least, I love this dress/coverup with the intricate bead work on it. It makes for a beautifully versatile coverup that also wells equally well as a tunic over jeans.
Thank you so much for reading and have a great rest of the weekend.

The Arch Of Cabo San Lucas
This pool bar was stunning and so well laid out. I have added it to my ‘dream future house features’ list!
This ‘Serenity pool’ was warm and shallow – perfect for hanging out with the kids (even though I joked and told them they will call it the ‘insanity’ pool’ soon after we depart!
Happy Wednesday everyone – I hear that the weather in London is hot, hot, hot!
As I had mentioned in my recent post on my Mexican vacation (https://ishasverdict.com/2016/07/16/viva-mexico-vacation-wardrobe-in-cabo-san-lucas/) we stayed at a resort called Cabo Azul (a Diamond Resorts property) while in Cabo on a family vacation, kindly hosted by my parents. The whole family had a fabulous vacation and a large part of the credit goes to the lovely property we stayed at and their wonderful service provided by the entire team.
The resort is built on 12 acres of ocean front property and is located on the quieter side of town, in San Jose del Cabo, along with other resorts. As a parent, a large part of the success of a resort vacation hinges on the entertainment available for children. Some of the highlights of the resort for me and my family were:
- Multiple pools of varying depths and temperatures, jacuzzis and a dedicated children’s pool with a water slide and other fun features.
- Delicious food including authentic Mexican food and the obligatory pizzas and pastas.
- Exceptionally friendly staff who were always happy to help and chat.
- Beautiful spacious rooms that were decorated to a very high standard, in a stylish blend of modern and traditional elements.
- Lots of entertainment for adults and children and organized kids activities for the entire week including table tennis, scavenger hunts dive-in movies etc.
Moving on to the topic of swimwear – I am a huge fan of tankinis and swim skirts as they provide an optimal balance of comfort and coverage when I am running around the pool with my kids. I loved these cheerful floral print separates from Debenhams and all I needed was my big pink hat and pompom straw bag to try and channel some retro glamour by the pool. I enjoyed wearing this cow print faux wrap dress from Marks and Spencer Autograph range in Cabo as well as the thin material was perfect for a resort vacation. The blue French Connection dress is one of my all time favorites for its versatility and form.
Thank you so much for reading as always. Thank you mom and dad for the lovely vacation – I am free next summer as well in case you decide that some more family vacations are in order.
